Shape files for the consultation route of Phase 2b of the proposed HS2 |
|
This website is no longer being maintained. An important change is that in 2023, the Government cancelled the section of HS2 between Handsacre (near Lichfield) and Manchester. Although the mapping given on this website is likely to be accurate in many places, elsewhere there will have been changes to the route. And the formation ("is it a cutting, a tunnel, an embankment, ...") may have changed. On July 17th 2013, the Department of Transport released two ESRI shape files that provide details of the consultation route for the two legs of Phase 2 of the proposed HS2: These files have been released with the Open Government Licence. You can also obtain these files from a data.gov.uk web page. I've converted some aspects of these shape files to KML.
